E-Titling System

The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has implemented an electronic titling system; therefore, a paper title will not be mailed to you. You may request a paper title at any time.

To request a copy of your car title please visit www.hsmv.state.fl.us/html/emt.htm. Fees may apply. Titles will be mailed to the address on the owner's motor vehicle record. Titles are generally mailed within 2 days of the receipt of the request. Many tax collector offices offer same day printing of paper titles for a fee.

A paper title is required when selling your vehicle in order to transfer ownership to the purchaser.
A paper title is not required when trading your vehicle with a Florida dealership.

For any questions or concerns, please visit the website above or contact your local tax collector's office. For frequently asked questions about E-titling, please click here.
